Vision University Centre, provides affordable, flexible university-level options to the people of Mansfield and surrounding areas. The centre, which officially opened in 2016, has already seen graduates move into employment or onto further study.


Reasons to study at Vision University Centre:

Staying local gives students the option to stay close to any family or work commitments, and can provide a familiar environment to those returning to study at the college campus. The university centre is also accessible via car, public bus service/s or the college’s bus service.

Small class sizes
A small campus allows for smaller class sizes, which is beneficial to students wishing to gain more contact time with tutors and connect with peers.

Modern facilities
With a £6.5 million investment in facilities, the university centres boasts state-of-the-art Microsoft suites, as well as a 100-seat lecture theatre, specialised lab for science subjects, glass-walled seminar rooms, and a large learning resource centre with additional PC access.

The university centre specialises in vocational courses, which have been designed alongside employers to ensure higher-level students acquire the skills and knowledge needed in employment.

Low tuition fees
Students of the university centre will earn the same qualification as those who are studying at larger institutions, where course fees can be up to £9,250. The university centre is committed to providing the highest quality of facilities, teaching and opportunities for all university-level students, while keeping tuition fees the most competitive in the region across all universities and Higher Education providers.

Fees for 2019-2020 are as follows:

Part-time £3,500
Full-time £6,750

Applicants can choose to study a number of higher-level courses including HNCs, HNDs, foundation degrees and full honours degrees taught at the university centre.

The centre also offers professional qualifications including AAT, CIPD, CIM and CIPS, which are fully-accredited and are designed to boost current knowledge and industry-specific skills.

Those not quite ready for university-level study can choose to undertake an Access to HE course which aims to get the candidate ready for Higher Education in just one year. Topics include business and law, nursing, the sciences and teacher training.
